The Project

In Fortitude Valley, we were called out to handle a common Brisbane problem: a fence that was losing its structural integrity due to local humidity and a side gate that had become more of a nuisance than a security feature.

What We Did

Paling Replacement: Replaced three palings that had rotted at the base. We used high-quality treated pine and applied an exterior stain to blend seamlessly with the existing fence line.
Gate Realignment: The side gate was sagging and dragging on the ground, making it nearly impossible to close. We stripped off the old hardware and rehung the gate using heavy-duty hinges.
Hardware Upgrade: Installed a new magnetic latch system, ensuring the gate clicks shut effortlessly every time.

The Result

The fence is now solid again, and the gate operates with a smooth, one-handed motion. It’s a small set of repairs that makes a massive difference to the daily routine and overall security of the home.
